Chiropractic: Types of Care

The types of care should be thought more along a sequence of care as opposed to separate therapies.

Relief Care

Relief care is the first phase of care and is designed to control pain and inflammation. Although many people assume that the absence of pain indicates the problem is fixed, they are mistaken. Relief care is the first treatment designed to address your immediate symptoms.

Corrective Care

Corrective Care begins once Relief Care has has brought your symptoms under control. People with injuries or weakness often have poor or abnormal “patterns” which can only be returned to normal through proper and consistent training. In addition to exercises and treatment at our office, additional therapy may be prescribed as part of a home exercise program to accelerate your healing process. This phase of care can last anywhere from a couple of months to over a year depending on the severity of your condition.

Stabilization Care

Stabilization Care occurs at the end of Corrective Care and is designed to create an equilibrium-like balance that will allow you to maintain your results without losing what you have worked to achieve. Your health and well-being are important to us!
